The Graphic Arts department prepares students in the major areas of the trade: typesetting, pre-press, press operations, and bindery work. Typesetting, paste-up, stripping and camera procedures are taught as part of the pre-press area. Students are exposed to letterpress printing, but the main emphasis is on offset printing. Bindery procedures: e.g. paper cutting, folding, padding, stretching, packaging, binding (both plastic and hot glue) are taught.
