The cosmetology course trains students to become competent in the field of beauty culture.  Students are taught how to perform all aspects of hair, facial, skin and nail care.  This training develops the skills, as well as the opportunity, necessary for students to be creative with individualistic projects.

Students complete a state-approved program of 1,000 hours of theory and practical training.  Upon completion of this course, students will have received the necessary training to take the State Board Examination for licensing.

North Shore Technical High School's Cosmetology Salon is usually open to the public on Thursday and Friday mornings during the school year.
