Compare the following search engines by completing the exercise below.  HotBot searches for pages that include all of the words you enter in a search expression.  AltaVista searches for pages that include any of the words.

1.  Go to  www.altavista.com
2.  Type annual rainfall in Belize in the search text box.
3.  Click the Search Button
4.  How many hits did you get?  Scroll down the results page.  Click on links until you find a page that provides the most useful information about the annual rainfall for Belize. Always check the validity of your source.  Print that page.  What number hit was it?
5.  Now, try HotBot, go to www.hotbot.com
6.  Click in the Search the Web text box.  Type in annual rainfall in Belize 
7.  Again, how many hits did you get?  Scroll down the results page, examine and click on links.  Did you find the same source?  What number hit was it?
