or Favorites
Netscape Navigator Bookmarks

Click in the Location
text box, type www.usatoday.com,
then press [enter].

| Click the bookmarks
button, then click add bookmark.
(you have added the site to your list of bookmarks)

| Click the Home
button in Navigator, click the bookmarks
and go back to USA Today. |
Internet Explorer Favorites

Click in the Address
text box, type home.attbi.com/~trodolico1,
then press [enter].

| Click Favorites on the menu bar, then click Add to
Favorites. (you have added the site to your list of
favorites)

| Click the Home
button in Internet Explorer, then click the Favorites
button. A panel opens up on left.
|
| Click Ms. Rodolico's Web in the right
panel.
|
| Click the Favorites
button. The panel closes. |
Checking Security Features
Check the security of a web page before
ordering online!

Click in the Location
text box, type www.luxor.com,
then press [enter].

| Click the hyperlink for Reservations.
The reservations Web page for the
Luxor Hotel in Las Vegas appears. Before you send your credit
card number into cyberspace, you will submit an incomplete
reservations form so that you can check the security features.

| Click the Security
button. (In Netscape the lock appears at the bottom
left corner of the status bar. In Internet Explorer, the
Security button (lock) appears toward the middle of the status bar.)

| To get out of the dialog box, click
OK in Navigator or click Close in Internet Explorer.
You should get in the habit of
checking the security features of a Web site before you enter
confidential information such as your credit card number. The
word to remember is encryption. A site that is encrypted is
more secure than a site that is not encrypted.
