1. Create a new folder on your desktop called web page or something equally obvious. To do this, right click on the desktop and choose new...folder.
   This is a folder for all the files that relate to your web page. The first of which you can get from the link below.
   
   
2. Here is a template for a teacher web site that was originally created for Newburyport High School by a friend of mine. It is designed to help you get started. After you click on it a dialog box will appear asking whether you want to save the file or open it.
   
   
3. Choose the save option.
   
   
4. Save it to your new web page folder.
   
   
5. Open Word and then open the file to customize.

7. Change the details according to the instructions it gives.
   You have to make your changes in Word. If the file opens in Internet Explorer you can't change it. Just close the file. Open Word and open the template from within Word.

    

    

8. To save the file with your new details use FILE...SAVE AS WEB PAGE. Call it index.htm as shown below

    

   
   
   

9. index.htm is the name that is required for your account on the school server.
