Welcome to the North Shore Technical and Agricultural High School Home Page.

Welcome to the Website for the Merger of North Shore Technical School and Essex Agricultural School.

This Website is hosted by North Shore Technical School, under the direction of the Merger Sub Committee.

The mission of the Merger Sub Committee has been to foster the merger of the two schools and develop legislation that would describe the manner in which such a merger will take place.  It has also been the mission of the Sub Committee to include of the city of Peabody into the North Shore Regional School District and to look for a means of financing this facility.

The legislation, filed by Senator Fred Berry of Peabody, is the result of several years of work by community leaders, the Massachusetts Department of Education and officials from North Shore Technical School, Essex Agricultural School and the City of Peabody.

When passed, this legislation will call for the construction of a new facility on the site which now houses Essex Agricultural School. This new school will be the first of its kind in the State; providing students in the North Shore area, a state of the art facility offering technical and agricultural courses.

Presently, the Temporary Oversight Board is working with the Architectural firm of Design Partnership of Cambridge to bring the first part of the project, the Feasibility Study, to completion.
