Student Driving and Parking
The North Shore Regional Vocational School District
provides bus transportation throughout the school year for nearly all students in
attendance. Students are expected to take advantage of this opportunity to be transported
to school. Juniors and seniors wishing to drive to school must apply at the Principals Office
for permission to operate and park their cars on school property.
A parking permit, which must be attached to the left
side of the rear window of the vehicle, is required for a student to bring any motor
vehicle to school. A permit to park may be revoked if the student violates the
schools driving or parking regulations, school rules, or has dangerous driving
habits. Revocation of a parking permit applies to both day and evening sessions for the
period specified, as well as evening functions.
Students must park their vehicles in the designated
student parking areas only. Students shall operate their vehicles in a safe manner
while on school property and shall not exceed the posted speed limit. A vehicle parked on
school property, which does not display a parking permit or is parked in a fire lane, may
be towed away without warning at the students expense.
North Shore Technical High School assumes no
responsibility for any articles missing or stolen from, or any damage to, vehicles.
Parking privileges will be revoked for:
- violation of safety rules
- violation of driver/parking regulations
- excessive tardiness or truancy.
