This week is Spirit Week at
North Shore Tech – Monday through Saturday, November 2nd
through 7th! Monday will be Pajama Day; Tuesday – Crazy
Hair Day; Wednesday – Twin Day; Thursday: Hawaiian
Shirt Day; Friday – Class Color Day and Hat Day; and
Saturday evening will be the Harvest Dance from 6:30 to
10:00 p.m. in the gym. Tickets for the dance are $7 in
advance and $10 at the door. Tickets can be purchased
from class advisors Ms. Gilroy, Mr. Brucker, Ms. Dawes,
Mr. Newman, Ms. DeBenedictis and Ms. Smith. It will be
a great week! Start planning now!

The freshman football
team will play at Chelsea Friday; players should be
dismissed at 2:00 p.m.
-
The varsity football team
will play Chelsea at home Saturday at 2:30 p.m. The
varsity cheerleaders will compete in League
competition at St. Mary’s on Sunday at 12:00 p.m.

There will be a winter sports
meeting on Tuesday, November 10th at 8:00 in the
gymnasium. Any student interested in playing
basketball or running winter track should attend.

The Honor Society, Community
Service Club and Student Council will be conducting a
canned food drive until Thanksgiving. Collections will
be made in homerooms each morning. The homeroom who
donates the most will win a pizza party.

The Homework Center will be in
the library after school and continue with the following
schedule: Mondays, Tuesdays, and
Thursdays, 7:15 to
7:45 a.m. and 2:30 to 3:30 p.m.

The Food Service Department would like
all faculty, staff, student athletes and coaches to know
that lunch will be available for purchase at regular
cafeteria prices on Early Release Days this year, from
11:00 to 11:30 a.m., beginning today. Sandwiches,
salads, soups, fresh fruit, yogurt, granola and select
ala carte items will be available. (Exception: Holiday
Early Release Days)

3:45 p.m. late
buses will run
on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays.

WIC, the Supplemental
Nutrition Assistance Program and SNAP, the Free and
Reduced Breakfast and Lunch Program make it possible for
children to have nutritious food, even in these
difficult times. The beginning of school is not
the only time to sign up for these programs. They
are available any time of year.
